2nd Classified Grand Cru
Decanter 96
Flexible and generous with salivating acidity, but quite tannic at this stage, which hides part of the nuance. I love the texture, the frame and the material: it is clean, polished and well worked, without any heaviness, but it has a powerful appeal that is attractive in flavors, with a rich blackcurrant, fragrant and aromatic. Detailed, with many stoney elements, slate and wet stone that bring a superb influence of terroir. It's not as immediately charming as the 2019, the tension remaining marked, but it will be brilliant in 5 to 10 year.
James Suckling 96
It's really very floral on the nose, with notes of violet and rose, as well as blackberry and black cherry. The mouth is from mid-bodied to full-bodied, with firm, polished tannins, and lots of hazelnuts and milk chocolate. Structured, but with a texture of great finesse. So seductive and irresistible right now, but it takes him three or four years to reveal his full potential. To try after 2026.
