2nd Classified Grand Cru
Rvf 98
It confirms its immense grandeur, with an intensity of flavour and a fruity flavour that bewitches. Like a baritone, it has a trunk, while being less impenetrable than other illustrious vintage.
Vinum 19/20
A Las Cases almost Burgundian, which combines wealth and density with race and tension, without relegating elegance to the background.
Wine Spectator 97
Filled with ripe, blackcurrant, fig and Boysen blackberry jam flavors, it kicks off with fanfare, but a web of bushy tannins, hot tar and pastis-impregnated apple wood slowly emerges before taking an authoritative lead in the final. All the while, a note of fresh charcoal intertwines everywhere. To drink preferably between 2025 and 2045.
Decanter 96
Las Cases at its best imperial, a Cabernet wine vinified in old oak vats and then aged in mostly new barrels. The nose is beautiful, sumptuous and woody, luxurious and opulent, with an intense note of blackcurrant. The expected density in the mouth, depth and power, polished tannins.
James Suckling 98
Aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry and gooseberry, with notes of black licorice and hot stones. Full mouth, with dense, integrated tannins, and a very, very long finish. Everything is there, with proportionate harmony. Superb precision and beauty.
